Lockdown was a testing time for everyone. A time of trials and transformations for many people across the globe. Inspired by the power and miracle of art two friends Joanna Symmons and Bukola Dagiloke founded an art club as a support system to help ease the pressure of confinement and uncertainty.
Mental Wealth London was born out of the testimony that art is truly healing and therapeutic for wellbeing and all round good mental health. A few years later the pair opened up their art club to the local community and found that others agreed, these sessions are an excellent way to improve mental wellbeing. In response to this the duo united with Joy Moyo to bring the joys of Art Club to women across London that need an escape from the daily pressures that life can bring.
Mental Wealth London's mission is to host safe spaces to drop in for art wellbeing. There is a need for opportunities for individuals to invest in their emotional wellbeing, to relax and escape from the daily pressures of life. We host weekly sessions with art supplies and art inspiration where participants can relax and engage with art on a regular basis.
