Our Projects

The pandemic, cost of living crisis, reduction in support services and the all round general uncertainty of the past few years have meant that mental health challenges for people are on the rise. A recent report found young women are more likely to experience anxiety-related conditions than any other group. There is a need for opportunities for individuals to invest in their emotional wellbeing, to relax and escape from the daily pressures of life.

"I wish I had more time for myself to just relax and be creative" is a statement that we often hear from the women that we have worked with. Many women would like to take back control of their lives and restore order and calm to their routine. It is common to be so busy that they start to neglect her wellbeing and can become depressed and anxious about every day things.

Women in general value mental wellbeing and health, also being very creative and many admit they have always wanted to do more painting and drawing but don't have the space and resources at home. We provide the space and opportunity for women to be hands on with creativity.

Southwark Wellbeing Hub – Partner Overview

About the Hub...

From 1 July 2026, South East London Mind will deliver the Southwark Wellbeing Hub across a network of community locations. The Hub is a community-based mental health and wellbeing service, designed to bring support closer to residents by working in partnership with trusted local organisations.

Group Delivery Partners like ourselves, will make the programme more varied, inclusive, and accessible across the borough. The group programme includes creative activities like art, drama, writing, and movement, alongside peer support. We are commissioned to deliver different types of group activities as part of the Wellbeing Hub offer.

What the hub offers...

The Hub provides free, non-crisis support for Southwark residents aged 18+ with low to moderate mental health needs, including:

● Information, advice and guidance

● One-to-one support

● Group and peer support programmes (includes groups for people waiting for ADHD and Autism assessments)

The hub also recognises that mental health is shaped by wider life circumstances, offering:

● Advice on benefits, housing and debt

● Culturally appropriate counselling for Black communities

● Opportunities for community connection and peer support

What’s New...

● More support delivered in community locations

● Structured group programmes shaped by local needs

● Additional specialist support linked to inequality and practical challenges

This approach makes support more accessible, visible and responsive. Together, we aim to deliver support that is inclusive, connected and rooted in local communities.
